Paradigms

Paradigms

Paradigms are a standard, a perspective, concepts or a set of ideas that affect the way we perceive the world. Our reality is often based more on the paradigms that we have grown up with (based on our families, society and education), than fundamental reality itself with big implications for all self-improvement efforts.

Advice from Masters – Quotes & Tips on Paradigms

The birth of excellence begins with our awareness that our beliefs are a choice. We usually don’t think of it that way, but belief can be a conscious choice. You can choose beliefs that limit you, or you can choose beliefs that support you. The trick is to choose the beliefs that are conducive to success and the results you want and to discard the ones that hold you back.

Thinking quote by Stephen Covey - Paradigms are powerful because they create the lens through which we see the world.

Our paradigms affect the way we interact with other people. Each of us tends to think we see things as they are, that we are objective. But this is not the case. We see the world, not as it is, but as we are—or, as we are conditioned to see it.

We could spend weeks, months, even years laboring with the Personality Ethic trying to change our attitudes and behaviors and not even begin to approach the phenomenon of change that occurs spontaneously when we see things differently.

We can only achieve quantum improvements in our lives as we quit hacking at the leaves of attitude and behavior and get to work on the root, the paradigms from which our attitudes and behaviors flow.

Small shifts in your thinking, and small changes in your energy, can lead to massive alterations of your end result.

By thinking positive thoughts, we end up attracting positive outcomes (via the law of attraction), taking positive actions, tackling obstacles & challenges with ease and living a happier life.

negativity

Negativity

Negativity is the polar opposite of positive thinking. It’s a tendency to focus on negative thoughts – the problems, the obstacles, their failures, the situation and so on. Negativity leads to problems where others see solutions and an inability to accomplish anything in life, due to all the reasons why it cannot be done.

The power of belief

You can never accomplish something, unless you believe. When you truly believe something to be true, you unleash a tremendous amount of creativity, motivation and energy that makes it easier for you to accomplish even the toughest of goals.

If you wish to achieve large success, it is essential that you learn to think big. Too many people prefer to think small and focus on achievable goals, and miss out achieving anything big in life.
