Without action we will never be able to achieve anything. There are numerous benefits to action, including it helping us confront our fears, adding value to our ideas and increasing the chances of our success.
The Benefits of Action
Action cures fear: Action feeds and strengthens confidence; inaction in all forms feeds fear. To fight fear, act. To increase fear—wait, put off, postpone. Dread making a certain phone call? Make it, and dread disappears. Put it off, and it will get harder and harder to make.
Put the action principle to work. Next time you experience big fear or little fear, steady yourself. Then search for an answer to this question: What kind of action can I take to conquer my fear?
Action adds value to ideas: Every day thousands of people bury good ideas because they are afraid to act on them. First, give your ideas value by acting on them. Regardless of how good the idea, unless you do something with it, you gain nothing.
David J Schwartz – The Magic of Thinking Big
Increase chances of success: The more action you take, the better your chances are of getting a break. Disciplined, consistent, and persistent actions are more of a determining factor in the creation of success than any other combination of things.
Grant Cardone – Author – The 10x rule / Sell or Be Sold
The cost of inaction
The cost of inaction: What is it costing you—financially, emotionally, and physically—to postpone action? Don’t only evaluate the potential downside of action. It is equally important to measure the atrocious cost of inaction. If you don’t pursue those things that excite you, where will you be in one year, five years, and ten years?

Wayne Gretzky often observed that “you miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.”
Sunil Saxena – Author – Massive Action equals Massive Results

What prevents action?
What prevents us from taking action? Perfectionism, distractions and waiting for the right conditions are common reasons, but the foremost reason is fear of failure. It is essential that you learn to confront and tackle your fears if you wish to gain success. It is not that successful people are not afraid, they just don’t let fear come in the way of their actions.
